Case Law

Case law is defined as precedent that has been set based on judicial decisions rather than law based on constitutions, statutes, or regulations.

On these next couple of pages you will find case law or a collection of precedents set by previous judicial decisions on a particular issue or topic. Case law does differ from one jurisdiction to another. If the incident has not arose in a particular area before, then they may look at other areas and if precedent has been set. As time goes on, case law has a tendency to be challenged more and more, as many decisions have been in place for decades and require review.
